Christmas Eve

We spent a wonderful Christmas Eve here at home. James took a nap and woke up still cuddling with his blankets. I had to share a picture because he just loves to carry around a whole armful of blankies and Mark and I both love to cuddle with him when he is still sleepy and snuggley. He is such a sweet, sweet boy!

Later in the afternoon, the kids got dressed up in their Christmas outfits so we could all go to church. Ella was so excited to wear her dress. James wasn't' as excited about his outfit, but he sure looked handsome.

Grandma and Grandpa O came down to watch the kids sing in church and enjoy Christmas Eve dinner with us.

The kids got to open one little present before church. Ella got clip on earrings...she really wants her ears pierced. James was happy to get a new little car to drive around the pew during church.

Here is a clip of the kids singing at church. Well, Ella really was the only one that sang, but James cracks a cute smile at the end.

Just me and my sweet boy!

After dinner, Ella wasted no time. She was soon cozy in her Christmas PJ's and had convinced her brother that if they asked really, really nice they might be able to open one present. So right in the kitchen, they did!

Here is some of the present opening excitement. By this time, Grandma Judy and Grandpa Jim were also here to enjoy dessert with us. So, the kids had a good audience for their first Christmas presents of the holiday.

Next the kids begged to open their annual Christmas ornaments for our tree.

After we opened a few presents, Ella wanted to get things set for Santa. She poured the milk for Santa all by herself this year and was anxious to go to bed so Christmas morning could arrive as soon as possible. The kids' excitement is so contagious and Mark and I couldn't wait for Christmas morning either!!!
