Claranna has been taking solo steps since the very beginning of the month. Though, she wouldn't go too far and really preferred to have a hand to hold on to. Over the past few days, our baby girl has really become brave. I think her crawling days will soon be gone as she is becoming much more steady on her feet. She's just growing up too fast...see for yourself:

Lark Toys and Nelson, WI
On the first beautiful Sunday afternoon in March we decided it was time to take a little road trip. Claranna needed to have her first ride on the LARK Toys carousel and some of us needed a little ice cream and cheese from that cute little creamery in Nelson, WI. Claranna was a huge fan of the carousel and we all enjoyed watching her smiles. After our ice-cream treats the kids rushed outside to watch a train go by--James LOVED this!

Before the Snow Melts!
We had to get outside and enjoy the snow a bit more before it all melted away. We had a fairly snowy winter and had lots of fun sledding and fort building this year. On March 3rd we spent some extra time outside because warmer weather was in the forecast and Mark and I and were hoping the snow would melt....and it did!
James got pretty good at throwing snowballs over the long winter and he loved jumping in the puddles of the quickly melting snow. Claranna loved having a few rides in the sled with Daddy. Mark's big snow fort didn't last too long once the sun stayed out and the temps rose to the mid 40's. Now all the snow is gone (for now!) and we are waiting for the grass to turn green!
Kitty
Our little baby is growing quickly and she is keeping us all quite busy. She's jabbering and talking and says a few words when she wants to. Here's an example:
