It's Fair Week and Love is in the Air!

There is a certain someone who James is quite fond of. She happens to have an older sister who is old enough to be in 4-H and that means that a special little someone will be at the fair a lot this week too! James saw her tonight TWICE. He sat with her, walked with her, talked with her and he is already looking forward to tomorrow. At bedtime, this was our conversation:

James: "Can you tell Daddy to wake me up right away in the morning when he leaves for work? I want to get up and be ready to go to the fair."
Mommy: "So you can see someone?"
James: (With a BIG grin and puppy dog eyes) Yeah, who I love!

James driving with Grandpa

Ella enjoyed tubing by herself. She continues to a be our daredevil!

James caught this 22 inch Walleye on his Cars fishing pole! He was the first and only kid to catch a fish on our trip.

Ella was the photographer for this picture!

Hi minnows!

Claranna spent the majority of the time with the minnows on the boat. She scooped them up, petted them, got them out for us, and even rescued some by throwing them into the lake when we weren't looking.

Beautiful!

Still playing with the minnows.

Claranna enjoyed fishing for a little bit!

S'more time!

The 22 inch Northern that I caught. I let Mark hold it for me!

The kids in their red, white and blue.

Picture Time!

We saw this deer right before it stormed July 4th. The storm meant no fireworks.

Claranna thought this lake was pretty funny!

Way Up North!

We traveled way up to Northern Minnesota over the 4th of July. We stayed in a camper in the woods behind Mark's parents' cabin. We enjoyed Lake Kabetogama by tubing, pontooning, fishing, and swimming. We had beautiful weather (except when we were supposed to be watching fireworks!) and the kids really enjoyed making special memories with Grandma and Grandpa O.
