Why I Shouldn't Let James Color With Markers.....

The crayons weren't handy this afternoon so I thought that it would be okay to let James color with a couple of markers. James thought coloring with markers was very fun....but he was not that interested in coloring on paper. When I wasn't watching carefully, he quietly sneaked away with a marker and sat in a chair with his back to me. He was so very quiet and busy in the chair that I had to go check on him. This is James' new body art:





Thank goodness for washable markers!!!

Garden Time!

Mark keeps a garden on my parents farm. This year he used an old two bottom plow to prepare the garden himself. He needed a few pointers from my dad to keep the old Ford going and I found watching the whole process amusing. Mark is definitely still a city boy.

James has quite the love for tractors and Grandpa Jim as you can see from the pictures below. He pointed at the tractor nearly the entire time Daddy was plowing and was very happy to enjoy the view from Grandpa's arms.

The Big Gift

When Isabella was asked by anybody for birthday gift ideas, she gave one lone answer. All she wanted for her birthday was a bike. While she was very thrilled to receive many nice gifts at her birthday party, her wish came true two days later on her real birthday. Mommy and Daddy got Ella her very own Strawberry Shortcake bike. Here's a picture of a very happy girl who could not wait to get outside to try it out!
