Fall Has Arrived

James is the player with the blue socks and those are Coach Mark's legs.

 My dad is hitting the corn fields pretty hard and the apples in Minnesota are just right for picking, so Fall has officially arrived.  Today we went to James' soccer game on an unusually warm morning after we picked up Ella from a birthday sleepover at a new friend's house.  After soccer, Claranna napped and we all did a few chores around the house before heading out to enjoy the beautiful fall afternoon.  We stopped by to drop Grandpa Jim's pick-up off at the corn field he was working on and then headed to the apple orchard.  We picked mainly Sweet 16 and Honey Crisp apples today. We enjoyed the apples as an afternoon snack and as a bedtime snack with homemade caramel sauce--a sweet way to end a sweet fall day!
